Hello everyone, it’s Barry again from Barry\u2019s auto body and collision repair. Today we\u2019re going to answer the question that everyone in the auto industry wants to know: \u201cWhat are the fastest cars in the world?\u201d Ready to see some jaw dropping numbers?<\/p>\n
Ladies and gentlemen, drum roll please…The Hennessey Venom F5. Hennessey Special Vehicles developed this vehicle in their Texas headquarters and first revealed the model in November of 2017. The sub 3 second 0-60 time and top speed of 301 mph or 484 km\/h make the Hennessey Venom F5 the fastest car of 2019 so far.<\/p>\n
In second place is the Koenigsegg Agera RS. The Swedish company first launched the cars production in 2016. Boasting a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, the car went 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 285 mph or 458km\/h at a straight line test in Denmark. <\/p>\n
In third, is the Bugatti Chiron, developed in Molsheim, France by Bugatti Automobiles SAS. It was first revealed in March of 2016. The engine is a heavily updated quad-turbo W16, that adds up to 1500 horsepower and blasts the car to a top speed of 280 mph or 451 km\/h. A beautiful interior and exterior result in a price of $2.6 million so it\u2019s not exactly the cheapest option on the list.<\/p>\n
Taking the fourth place spot is the Koenigsegg Agera One:1. This slightly less updated version of the Agera RS, debuted in March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. This car has the same 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 as the Ageras and gets it\u2019s unique name from the power to weight ratio which is 1,360 to 1,360. The Koenigsegg Agera One:1 comes in at a top speed of 273 mph or 439 km\/h.<\/p>\n
Rounding out the top 5 is the Hennessey Venom GT. The second vehicle on our list from the Texas-based manufacturer is equipped with a 7.0 liter Twin-turbocharged LSX V8. In February 2014, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Venom GT set a top speed of 270 mph or 435 km\/h.<\/p>\n
