Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge Toll Increases

Hi everyone, it’s Barry from Barry’s Auto Body and today, I would like to talk about the changes coming to the Verrazano Bridge toll. Without an E-Z Pass, non-Staten Island residents will now have to pay $19 every time they drive into Staten Island. People with E-Z Pass will have to pay $12.24, and Staten Island Residents who have E-Z Pass (AND make 3 or more trips per month) will now have to pay $6.88 instead of $6.48.

In comparison to other bridges in the area, the Verrazano Bridge toll is incredibly high. In fact, the Verrazano Bridge is now one of the highest tolls in America. To add insult to injury, metro card bonuses will no longer exist and the price of 7 and 30 day passes will increased.

Staten Island has always been labeled as the “Forgotten Borough,” and now it seems like the city is trying to make that nickname stick. Barry’s Auto Body has been up and running for more than 35 years in the Staten Island community. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the people of this amazing city. Staten Island residents are believers in family-owned business and always work to promote the area by supporting local charities. We deserve more convenient and cost-efficient means of transportation. We deserve to be treated fairly.

We are interested in hearing about your opinion of these changes and we encourage you to comment or reach out with your suggestions. Barry’s Auto Body is determined to build Staten Island through our work in AND out of the shop. Feel free to call our shop at (718) 948-8585 or visit our Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/barrysautobody.
