Local Community Members of the Month

Back in February, Barry’s Auto Body started recognizing and honoring one local Staten Islander each month for his or her hard work in the community. Why? Because in the past thirty years, we have had the opportunity to meet and serve thousands of customers and we are constantly overwhelmed by the amount of dedication, love and warmheartedness that fills this unique island. Staten Island locals have inspired us to join tons of organizations, like the Verrazano Kiwanis Club and the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, that allow us to make a difference in the world.

For the month of February, we recognized a gentleman named Marco Di Donna. Aside from his hard work at Partners in Sound Productions, Marco spends his time tackling the Carl’s House mission to bridge the gap between addiction and recovery for addicts and their families. His effort has given addicts the chance to walk the path of long-term recovery.

In March, we recognized Corey Schifter. Corey has brought philanthropy to a new level with countless donations and volunteer hours to various charities in Staten Island, New York. He took over Casale Jewelers from his father in 2009, and has been extremely successful ever since.

This month, we are recognizing Jacqueline Filis, the Executive Director at the YMCA Counseling Service. Jacqueline’s hard work has provided comprehensive prevention/treatment services for individuals and families struggling with alcoholism or a substance abuse problem

Barry’s Auto Body is much more than a local collision repair shop. We are a tight-knitted family that wants to help and give back to the Staten Island community. Feel free to call our collision shop at (718) 948-8585, to learn more about our services or suggest a local community member for the month of May.
