Getting Your Car Ready for the Fall

With August coming to the end, we are now down to the last few days of Summer. And while the sun and the heat recede, your vehicle must be prepared to tackle a whole new set of challenges. Check out these amazing tips about how to make sure that your car is ready to face the Fall!

Keep Your Car Clean from Debris

Having a clean car is always important, for both aesthetic purposes and for the longevity of the vehicle’s life. However, with Autumn comes a whole great deal of fallen leaves. These leaves can sit on your car, and if not removed can break down and fall beneath the hood, potentially causing damage. Remove fallen leaves from your vehicle when possible, and you should be just fine!

Test Your Defroster/ Heater

After being in the Summer Heat for several months, you probably haven’t even thought about your vehicle’s heat. However, colder weather will be here sooner than we think, and that means that you are going to want to make sure that your vehicle’s heat is working properly, before it’s too late!

Make Sure Your Wiper Blades are Up to Snuff

With the Fall and the Winter weather often comes heavy rain and snow. For your safety, and for your vehicle’s longevity, you’re going to want to make sure that your windshield wiper blades are able to handle the elements that are coming their way. If not, replacing windshield wipers is a simple and relatively inexpensive way to greatly improve the quality of your vehicle.

Check Your Tires

Tire pressure can be a tricky thing, and therefore is something that you should always be aware of. Oftentimes, a change in the temperature outside can result in a fluctuation of tire pressure. Keep an eye on your tires and make sure that they have a proper amount of air to keep yourself safe driving on the roads this Autumn.

Check and Change Your Vehicle’s Fluids

Just like tire pressure, temperature can have an impact on your vehicle’s fluids. Shifts in the temperature can cause the fluid levels in your vehicle to fluctuate, which if not addressed could lead to some serious issues. Take a look at your vehicle’s fluid levels, and make the appropriate changes to ensure that you can drive safely in the coming Autumn months!
