On Tuesday, February 19th, the Long Island Auto Body Repairman’s Association Inc. (L.I.A.B.R.A.) and The Auto Body Craftsman’s Guild held a course at Barry’s Auto Body Shop on Amboy Road. The night featured a 2-hour course on comprehensive estimatics, educating body shop professionals on the details of estimating in this technologically advanced era. This class was an awesome opportunity for anyone in the auto body field to get ahead of the curve; it was free for members and only $40 for non-members. Spouses and Employees of the attendees were also welcome and plenty of pizza and refreshments were available to all!

At the end of the class a group of auto body experts got together and made a contribution of $1,500 to Veterans Rebuilding Life. Veterans Rebuilding Life is a non-profit organization that helps get veterans back on their feet. They use a three phase program called Project 360°. This program utilizes peer mentorship with others veterans who help them transition from military life back to citizen life. The program also works on social, physical, and mental needs, providing Veterans with volunteering opportunities and jobs.

I’d like to thank everyone who was involved, especially those who taught and enjoyed the presentation. We are extremely excited to host more of these seminars in the near future!
