We here at Barry’s Auto Body are proud to name Robert DeLuca as our Community Member of the month for September, 2020.
Robert DeLuca is a restaurateur and small business owner here on Staten Island. He owns DeLuca’s Italian Restaurant on Amboy Road, and like many small business owners and restaurant owners, COVID-19 and the restrictions that have come with it have had a large impact on his business.
However, rather than suffering in silence, DeLuca has turned himself into an advocate for restaurants and small businesses across New York City. He is a founding member of IROAR (the Independent Restaurant Owners Association Rescue,) a group that has organized rallies and pushed back against the restrictions that Governor Andrew Cuomo has placed on indoor dining.
DeLuca is a plaintiff in the class action lawsuit that has been filed against Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio regarding what is being referred to by many restaurant owners as unfair treatment that they have received in regards to the issue of indoor dining.
We here at Barry’s Auto Body want to thank Robert DeLuca for being an outspoken advocate for restaurants and small businesses here on Staten Island and across New York city, and congratulate him on being named our community member of the month!
