Barry’s Auto Body, eco-friendly auto body repair shop Staten Island, is proud to announce that Joseph Fauci, owner of La Fontana Restaurant, is our March 2020 Community Member of the Month.
Mr. Fauci is more than the owner of La Fontana Restaurant, he is also the chef, creating delectable dishes in a family friendly atmosphere during the nearly forty years that La Fontana has been in operation. Mr. Fauci was only 19 years old when his father, Anthony, opened the restaurant. La Fontana Restaurant is now one of the longest running family restaurants on Staten Island.
Besides serving great Italian food, the restaurant is a hotspot for business organization meetings and not for profit fundraisers. Mr. Fauci’s generosity serving as host to these organizations is the reason why Barry’s Auto Body, eco-friendly auto body repair shop Staten Island has chosen to name him Community Member of the Month.
Through the years, La Fontana has contributed to many local community organizations. Among other organizations, La Fontana hosts the Verrazzano Kiwanis Club meetings where business owners gather to discuss providing support for non profit organizations dedicated to serving the youth of Staten Island.
La Fontana Restaurant is located in Oakwood, Staten Island across the street from Farrell High School. Mr. Fauci has a special relationship with Farrell- the all boys High School – giving many of the students their first jobs as busboys and later as waiters when they begin to attend college.
Sunday Sauce, fresh fish and freshly cooked pasta are some of the reasons why La Fontana Restaurant can claim a large and loyal customer base. Many customers eat at the restaurant several times a week and are seated at their favorite table in an effort to make them feel more at home.
At any given night patrons might be serenaded by various singers – both local and famous- who stop by for dinner or to have a drink at the bar.
For his dedication to the Staten Island community and his dedication to giving young people an opportunity to grow and learn, Barry’s Auto Body, eco-friendly auto body repair shop Staten Island has named Joe Fauci as our March 2020 Community Member of the Month.
